DMLT full form is a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology. The DMLT course is a 2-year Diploma program designed to provide students with essential knowledge and skills in laboratory techniques and diagnostics. In the DMLT course, students learn how to perform tests on body fluids, tissues, and other specimens, which play a crucial role in disease diagnosis and treatment.

To be eligible for the DMLT course, candidates must make sure to have completed Class 12 in the Science stream with PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects. The admission to a DMLT course is entirely based on Class 12 scores.

DMLT graduates are equipped to work as lab technicians in hospitals, diagnostic centres, and research labs, where they play a key role in analyzing samples and providing accurate data to assist healthcare professionals. On graduating with the DMLT course, candidates can opt for job profiles such as Health Care Assistants, Laboratory Analysts, Research Assistants, Medical Technicians, etc. The average salary that a DMLT course graduate earns ranges between INR 4.2 LPA and INR 2 LPA.
